JRSOs are P6 and 7 pupils who are responsible for promoting Road Safety in East Craigs. The JRSO mascot is Ziggy, an alien from outer space who is learning how to keep safe on and near roads! The JRSO group is led by Mrs Brown and Miss Allan.
Our 2017-18 reps are:

Holly Ross and Rhys Cooper

We spread the Road Safety message through the school by:
– sharing news and updates at assemblies

– visiting younger classes to help others learn more about the work of JRSO

– running fun competitions in school

Our new Junior Road Safety Officers attended Edinburgh City Chambers on Wednesday 13th September. They were inducted into their new roles, received training and brought back their Diary of Duties for the year. They are keen to promote the 20 mph road safety drive and to tackle the car congestion issues around the school. Their aim is to keep our pupils safe whilst accessing routes to school.

If you would like to learn more about JRSO, talk to one of the reps or check out our notice board!

P1-3 ‘Magic of Road Safety’ Show: November 2017

P1-3 had a fabulous time watching a special magic show called ‘Magic of Road Safety’. We learned important safety rules to follow when we are on/ near roads, and joined in with lots of different magic tricks too. Thank You, JRSO team!
